Forest Essentials Facial Ubtan Narangi Nagkesar Review
A clarifying blend of fresh sun-dried ingredients for skin lightening and brightening. Regular use leaves the complexion soft and glowing with a radiant sheen.
Forest Essentials Narangi and Nagkesar Facial Ubtan is my first purchase from Forest Essentials. I am totally impressed and completely satisfied with my purchase, that I have already prepared a list for my next purchase.
Price: Rs.595 for 50gm
Claims:Forest Essentials Narangi and Nagkesar is a powerful exfoliating treatment that stimulates the underlying tissues of the skin. By its revitalizing, refreshing & refining actions, this ‘Ubtan’ helps in the natural glow of the complexion. It protects the skin from Acne and Blemishes. Its regular usage prevents the occurrence of premature fine lines and firms and tones the skin.
How to use: Take half teaspoon and mix with milk or rose water to make a creamy paste. Use to wash face.
I use it just with normal water, leave it on for 10 minutes. I take some water and scrub away the Ubtan.
The Ubtan is finely milled orange peel mixed with lots of herbs. It smells like orange and I find the fragrance very refreshing. Packed in a see through plastic tub with a golden cap. Packaging it light and travel friendly.
I have been using it regularly for 3 weeks now, and can see visible difference in my complexion. The Tan is gone, and I can see more evenly toned skin.
I have been facing a few breakout since sometime, so I would say it did not fare much on the Acne section, but does lighten the past blemishes or marks.
What I like:
- Completely natural and safe
- Smells actual orange peel
- Visible glowing complexion
- Removes tan and gives even toned skin
- Control oil for few hours
- Also gives a scrubbing action
What I did not like:
- Not much effective on the acne claim,
- Availability is an issue,
- Expensive
Highly recommended for Oily skin, you will love it.
Rating – 4.5/5
You can check this at Jabong, I got it from there along with free shipping.
If you use orange peel at home, never dry it under Sun, as it looses all its medicinal value and goes waste.

You said the magic words! I have a tan and blemishes I want to lighten.. I was going to get the set of minis but its Rs 975 and pricey.. this one is going on my wishlist!
Hi Avina… do get this one for sure… you will love it for sure. It has worked great on my tan and my color is back to normal again

I am so impressed that I want to try out a few more FE products now…. but currently have a heavy stock to finish off till then no shopping
Oks. Will get it this weekend then. It will complement the Garnier Dark Spot Remover that came in from Feelunique.com today
Fortunately, the Forrest Essential store is near my place in Mumbai. I am going to the store with exact change so that I don’t get anything else. My mom has placed a ban on any kind of parcels coming home so can’t order

I’m using the Kama Ayurveda ubtan right now and looks like its going to last me for months. This is on my wish list once that’s over.
Hi Dollie

Do get this one for sure
How is the Kama Ubtan
I really want to give FE productsa try but they are too pricey…and wasn’t this sold @ 595 for 100 grams previously??? (
)
Hi Madhu..
I just checked and you are correct, many bloggers reviewed it in 2011 when it was Rs.595 for 100gm.. I am shocked
Thats such a steep increase in price…I am still on shock… and thats a dent in my list.
I remember buying a Forrest Essentials Aloe vera gel 7-8 years back for just 200 bucks or so… don’t remember exact price, but it wsnt much else I would hv never shelled out the bucks. BTW the same aloe vera gel is Rs 875 now!
suddenly a few years back they re-branded themselves into a luxury brand with fancy
packaging and decor in their stores… and doubled prices fr same products!
I have kept visiting FE from time to time but have never managed to get myself to buy anything as I keep comparing what their prices used to be!
