L’occitane Lavender Perfumed Soap

L’Occitane en Provence is a french skin care and cosmetics company. I had got my first chance with them around 4 years back at Singapore airport, where I had picked up a set of hand creams. Not only did they looked cute but smell heavenly. Back in Bangalore I did not come across any L’occitane store, but very recently I did spot a very small counter at Shoppers stop Koramangala. I seriously think L’occitane should come up with some good stores at least in few cities and by that I mean Bangalore too :greedy:

Claim: This plant-based lavender soap gently cleanses and perfumes the hands and body. Non-irritating; suitable for men, women and children.

How can that ever happen that I come across purple or Lavender and not pick it up. And specially for 40% off I have to be insanely depressed to give it a miss.

The soap came in a thin plastic sheet, with no ingredients or information about it. Since I like reading about ingredients of the products that I use, this is something I really don’t appreciate.

Its a decent amount of soap for the price. Its a beautiful lavender color, and believe me for the first time I have found something that is purple and Lavender but not girly at all.

The fragrance has to be the highlight of the soap.Its true Lavender fragrance and is not at all overpowering. But how I wish the smell could linger on the skin for sometime, which does not happen. It has a creamy texture, which lathers really well. Soap is not moisturizing, so you have to grab a nice moisturizer after the shower.

I do not see myself picking this up again, and would recommend only to those who are looking for a soap that authentically smells lavender.
