Today I will be reviewing an AMAZING product namely Pears Pure and gentle Shower gel! I had got this from style-craze during summers and totally loved it. However, it does have a few cons! Read on to know more…
Price: Rs.125 for 250ml
Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Glycerin, Perfume, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Chloride, Allantoin, Benzophenone-3, CI 19140, CI 17200.
Product Description: Pears Pure & Gentle is 100% soap-free and formulated with specially chosen ingredients to take care of your skin in a way that you love, a mild and gentle way. Come, let the goodness of Glycerin care for your skin like it has for millions of happy complexions around the world.
Fragrance and texture: It has a mild fragrance, which is not like that of the Pears soap. Fragrance does not linger on for more than 10 minutes. It has a runny texture and the shower gel has a sunset type color added to it.
Packaging: It has a convenient packaging (upside down) but squeezing the bottle is a bit tough. I wish the packaging was better.
My Take on Pears Pure and Gentle Shower Gel-
I liked this product but did not love it. It has a mild fragrance, which is soothing, and I would be happy if it lingered on for a long time on my skin. That is not the case. The fragrance fades in just 10 minutes. So what is the use of a nice smelling shower gel if the fragrance does not linger on? In addition, it moisturizes the skin nicely and removes dirt but then it is so difficult to remove this product! It leaves a slippery feel behind which I totally hate. However, I have to agree to the fact that it is super gentle to the skin and is perfect and safe for kids too!
Sadly, this product contains SLS (but every other product contains SLS). The product does not lather much (it contains SLS then also it does not lather properly! How is that possible?). Well, it is just an average shower gel and nothing great!
PROS-
- Mild Fragrance
- Does not dry out the skin like other shower gels
- Texture and price
- Very gentle and perfect for sensitive skinned beauties and for kids
- Quantity and Quality
CONS-
- Packaging could have been better
- SLS content
- Leaves a slippery feeling behind and removing it is a pain
- Time Consuming
Final Verdict- This is NOT the best shower gel in the market and thus I will not be repurchasing it but I will definitely recommend this to all the sensitive skinned beauties reading this.
Rating- 3/5 (-1 for slippery feel, -1as the fragrance does not linger on)

I have tried this, its really gentle and nice… but when I found the Pamolive coconut thermal spa I never got this again

i feel sometimes that some companies make their products less foaming just give us a fake impression like it doesn’t contain SLS or it contains in a very less quantity.
Same goes with the so called “herbal” and “natural” products. They are in no way less functional than those non herbal ones. #confused#
You are too much of a detective… I suppose it could be.. but there can be some genuine products too… best would be to do a litmus test to check if its too basic… if its neutral it won’t dry up the skin

Its not that we are so much into naturals, but i don’t like it when these companies make grand and fake promises of their products being natural.
Why can’t just someone go and tell them that as long as it is effective and not harmful to our skin, it doesn’t matter if it is natural or not.
I agree! They should just claim what the soaps/gels can actually do and not something like:- ”This will make your skin glow like Kareena Kapoor” and all

i guess foaming depends on water quality .. i am currently using this and it has been my 5 th bottle in a row.. i am loving it a lot and i probably will not change in near future .
